Spotlight Parrotfish

Fortunately for FOTW regulars more photographic assaults on the undersea world are imminent so we will not be relying on archive photos from previous trips for much longer. This one was spotted at 'The Deep' in Hull. Don't forget you can have your pictures publish on FOTW. Send them to the fish photo editor tony@fishoftheweek.com Promises of £20 notes will have a positive effect on likelihood of them being selected.

Yellow Butterflyfish

Confirmation that FOTW stop at no lengths to bring you the best of underwater snaps. A select group of FOTW divers are as we speak, preparing to endure severe personal discomfort by sitting motionless for 13 hours while Thai airlines whizz then off to Phuket. Whereupon further discomfort will be endured in a rough old sea crossing to the Similan Islands from where we hope to bring you a live underwater web cam satellite feed from Fantasy Reef of the schooling Mantas and possible other things. Watch this space.

Big eyed Emperor Fish

Always worth keeping a look out into the blue. You never know what might be out there!

Lion Fish

Still not got my definitive photo of one of these as yet but I am getting close. This chap was seen lurking around on a nice reef in the Red sea.

More Carps of the Koi variety

Whilst rummaging through FOTW's extensive electronic post bag of fishy pictures I came across this splendid piccy from Cathy, one of our most loyal surfers. It just goes to show that you do not have to go far to capture an excellent fish image. These two beauties were seen at Canal Gardens in Roundhay in Leeds. For those of you wanting to dive at Canal Gardens, FOTW have negotiated an exclusive members only dive evening. Email Pete@fishoftheweek.com for more details.
