The Chase

Here we see a Cornet fish in hot pursuit of a Masked Butterfly fish.
Who said oppisites dont attract!.

Saturday, December 6

Caribbean Spiney Lobster

Mr Thermodore here was lurking under a coral head off the southern tip of Grenada recently. Intrestingly they seem to swim backwards so its no wonder they find parking themselves in the coral holes easy.

Sunday, November 30

Flathead Scorpionfish

To complete our series of camouflage fish here is a fine example of a Flathead Scorpionfish. Again spotted on the same night dive on Fanidir reef as last weeks fish of the week.

A little more hairy than is bearded cousin and a flatter snout are its distinguishing features. Another ogly bugger.

Sunday, November 23

Crocodile fish

During a night dive on Fanidir reef we came across this 1 metre long Crocodile fish. When we first saw it was free swimming and whooshed through our torch beams before assuming its more common attitude laid flat on a sandy patch.

Sunday, November 16

Devil Scorpionfish

This criter was seen dragging itself across a sandy patch on Fanidir dive site in Hurghada.
We did not get to see its underside but apparently it is bright orange and yellow. An ugly bugger if I have ever seen one.
